  1. I’m going tonight to vote in our primary. I used Vote411 to compare the candidates, regardless of party. There were Democrats (and Republicans, but more Dems) that hadn’t even bothered to answer the questions, put a picture, or offer a phone number/email/website. Google their names and you might find them on a list of candidates, but that’s about it.

    I am more than willing to vote for reasonable Republicans (and third party candidates, if there were any) especially in local races and vacancies where the Democrats just have no chance, but I’m not allowed to. I looked at the Republicans, but I have to choose sides for the primary. It is maddening. My voice should not only count for one team. They want to represent me, I should get to pick among all the candidates. This is why our political ideologies are so diametric. Red pill or blue pill, there is no purple or magenta or violet. First past the post and restricted voting is one of the biggest things our country needs to fix.
